Marvel’s “Agatha All Along” To Be Released During Primetime!
Disney has confirmed that the upcoming Marvel Studios series, “Agatha All Along”, will continue the trend of major originals getting a primetime release.
In “Agatha All Along,” the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…
The new series stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, with Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer. The directors for the series include Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
The upcoming series will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, September 18th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET. The first two episodes will be on Disney+, and a new episode will be released each week.
Due to how time zones work, this does mean that the show will be out the following day in Europe/Asia/Australasia, i.e., at 2 a.m. in the UK and 11 a.m. in Sydney, Australia.
Roger’s Take: It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see Disney once again doing a primetime release schedule since it’s been working to increase viewership and, just as importantly, getting more traction on social media to draw additional publicity to the show.
