Marvel’s 2026 Disney+ Slate Revealed
While we are only a couple of months into 2025, Marvel Studios is already planning for the next year. During a recent publicity tour for the upcoming Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again,” executive Brad Winderbaum, who is Head of Streaming, Television and Animation at Marvel Studios, confirmed its plans for upcoming shows.
Marvel has been shifting its focus away from limited series, instead turning its attention to making shows with multiple seasons and in 2026, we will start to see that coming into effect.
Here’s the rundown of what’s coming to Disney+ from Marvel in 2026:
Wonder Man
This new series will premiere on Disney+ in late 2025, so with Marvel’s weekly release schedule, we should expect some new episodes to slide into early 2026. Disney hasn’t revealed what the plot of the upcoming “Wonder Man” series is, but we do know it’s going to star Yahya Adbul-Mateen II as Simon Williams/Wonder Man and Ben Kingsley will also return as Trevor Slattery. The show will also star Demetrius Grosse as Eric Williams (Grim Reaper) and Ed Harris will play Neal Saroyan, Simon’s agent. It will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who was behind “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings”.
Daredevil: Born Again – Season 2
In Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavours in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Filming has already begun in New York in the second season, and the first series will premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
Vision
The third instalment in the “WandaVision” trilogy will see the continuation of Vision’s story, with Paul Bettany returning as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. The show will also star Ruaridh Mollica and Faran Tahir. No plot details have been revealed, but it’s also thought that the show will also continue the story of Agatha and Wiccan following the events of “Agatha All Along”.
Terry Matalas, who is behind “Star Trek: Picard”, will be the showrunner on the upcoming Disney+ series, which is scheduled to film later this year for a release on Disney+ in 2026.
The Punisher – Special Presentation
Ahead of Jon Bernthal’s return as The Punisher in the upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again” series, it was confirmed that the character will also appear in a brand new special presentation feature in 2026. It is being co-written by Jon Bernthal’ along with Reinaldo Marcus Green, who is directing the special. This special will be filmed alongside the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” in the next few months.
X-Men ’97 – Season 2
Marvel Animation’s X-Men’97 revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.
Production is already underway on the second and third seasons of “X-Men ’97”.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – Season 2
“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.
Production is already underway on the second and third seasons of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”.
Avengers: Doomsday
The next major team-up movie, “Doomsday”, is set to hit cinemas on May 1st 2026 and filming is set to begin in the United Kingdom later this year. Very little is known about the next “Avengers” movie, but we do know that “Infinity War” and “Endgame” directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo will be returning to direct. It was also revealed at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con that Robert Downey Jr will be returning to the MCU as well. However, he will be playing a variant version of Doctor Doom.
With “Doomsday” arriving in cinemas in May, we should expect to see the film arrive on Disney+ about four months later in September 2026.
It’s important to note that this list could change, as if there are any delays caused by unexpected events like pandemics, strikes, wildfires etc. Plus, there is a possibility that other Marvel projects for 2026 could be revealed, but it’s looking like a pretty stacked year already!
