During a special Marvel Studios panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that the new “Fantastic Four” is going to be called “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”.

The upcoming movie is being directed by Matt Shakman, who was also on the stage, along with the cast, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. 

The movie is set to begin filming next week in London, England and is currently scheduled to be released in cinemas on July 25th, 2025.

It’s been confirmed that the Fantastic Four will also appear in the upcoming Avengers movies, which was confirmed will be directed by the Russo Brothers.

It was also revealed that the new movie will feature  music by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino,

Some concept art from the film was shown to those in attendance, showing a retro-futurist version of the 1960s since it doesn’t take place within the main sacred timeline.   There was also a CGI clip of the enormous supervillain Galactus hovering over the Earth.  

A huge inflatable version of the Fantastic Four’s car was also brought onto the stage.
