Disney’s 20th Television and FX are adapting Catherine Lacey’s novel, “The Answers”, which is set in the near future, where a heartbroken young woman, Mary, joins an enigmatic experiment that promises to hack love, but after moving into an idyllic, secluded location with her fellow female participants, she and the other women start questioning what’s really happening in the experiment, and why they’ve all been tasked with dating the same mysterious man, Christopher Sky.

It was previously revealed that David Corenswet is going to be starring in the show, and now it has been announced that Lucy Hale(Pretty Little Liars) has joined the cast of the new show, along with Raul Esparza (Retreat), Krys Marshall (For All Mankind), Melanie Field ( A League Of Their Own), Pallavi Sharda (Wedding Season) and Kineta Kunutu (Citadel).

In the new series, Esparza plays Dr. Crowe; Marshall portrays Ellis; Field is Dani; Sharda plays Ash and Kunutu is Nic.

The series is being created by Kit Steinkellner (“Sorry For Your Loss”), Danny Strong (“Dopesick”) and Darren Aronofsky (“Requiem for a Dream“), who are all executive producers, along with Mandy Safavi and Elizabeth Gesas.

Kit Steinkellner has written the pilot, and Gillian Robespierre will direct and executive produce the pilot.

20th Television is the studio, so expect to see this series released on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
