Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States for the week of 1st August 2022 through to 7th August 2022. There are four different charts, Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies and a combined total chart.

Pixar’s latest film, “Lightyear” lifted off straight into the top spot on the movie chart with an impressive debut.  Showcasing why a theatrical release can boost a film.  The viewing numbers however are much lower than other recent animated films like “Turning Red” and “Encanto”.   Meanwhile, the latest Predator movie, “Prey”, also pulled in some decent views. This film was also released on Disney+ internationally.  It’s also the first week all year that “Encanto” or “Moana” hasn’t been in the top ten films.

“Only Murders In The Building” continues to pull in viewers on Hulu, and this series is also released on Disney+ internationally as a Star Original.

Disney’s shows made by ABC, such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, continue to pull in viewers on Netflix. These shows are available on Disney+ internationally, including “NCIS” in the UK.
