Korean Original Superhero Series “Moving” Returning For A Second Season
Disney has announced at its APAC Showcase in Singapore, that the hit Korean series, “Moving” will be returning for a second season and is currently in development.
“Moving” tells the story of a group of South Korean special agents working to protect their super-powered children from harm and exploitation at the hands of malicious government agencies. Initially recruited because of their extraordinary abilities to fly, instantly heal and use their enhanced senses in the field, the agents disappeared without a trace after being tasked with carrying out increasingly dubious missions. But with their children now exhibiting similar abilities and a dangerous assassin rapidly picking off super-powered individuals, the parents must leave their peaceful lives behind to become the “monsters” they once were.
This renewal shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, since “Moving” has become the most-viewed Korean original series on Hulu and Disney+ (internationally).
The series also went on to take home six Asia Content Awards at the Busan International Film Festival, including the prestigious Best Creative Award, given in honour of content that has delivered the most notable achievements, as well as Best Visual Effects, Best Writer (Kang Full), Best Lead Actor (Ryu Seungryong), Best Newcomer Actor (Lee Jungha) and Best Newcomer Actress (Go Younjung).
There are no details on when the second season of “Moving” will begin filming or arrive on Disney+/Hulu, but hopefully, it won’t be too long. In the meantime, you can catch the first season of “Moving” on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: I’m really glad to hear that “Moving” is returning for another season, as I loved the first season; not only did it tell a superhero story from a completely different angle, but it also had a charming love story that you wouldn’t see in an American superhero show. I can’t wait for this new season, and I hope more people check it out on Hulu and Disney+.
