Kim Kardashian To Star In New Drama Series From Ryan Murphy
“American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy is creating a brand new scripted legal drama series, which will star Kim Kardashian, who has recently worked with Ryan on the latest “American Horror Story: Delicate”.
The new show will be created by 20th Television and is the first new series from Ryan Murphy’s new deal with Disney TV studios. The show will be released on Hulu and as a Star Original internationally on Disney+.
This new series is being described by Deadline as a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural. It will be written by Joe Baken, who has previously worked on FX’s “American Horror Stories” and Jon Robin Baitz, who previously created “Brothers & Sisters” and the upcoming FX series, “Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans”.
Kim Kardashian is currently still negotiating her acting deal and is set to play the role of Los Angeles’ most successful divorce lawyer and the owner of an all-female law firm. In real life, Kim is also currently studying law and has had an apprenticeship at a law firm in San Francisco.
The show was pitched to Kim Kardashians and her manager/mother, Kris Jenner, by Ryan Murphy, Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz, who both committed to the program immediately and will also be executive producers on it. The project was then sold to Hulu, who are working on multiple shows with Ryan Murphy, and the “Kardashians” series is one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform. Hulu proceeded to give the show a full series order.
Deals are apparently still being worked out, and preliminary casting is already underway to find three other actresses to play Kardashian’s glamorous and accomplished law partners, and an A-list actor to play her onscreen love interest.
Production is set to begin in late 2024 for an early 2025 premiere.
