With the huge success of its live-action remakes of their animated classics, Disney is set to film a new version of Peter Pan, called “Peter Pan and Wendy”.  According to Variety, Disney is in talks with Jude Law to play the role of Peter’s arch-nemesis, Captain Hook.  Jude has previously starred in movies such as “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” and “Captain Marvel”.

The new live-action movie is being directed by David Lowery, who has previously directed “Pete’s Dragon”.  He is also co-writing the script with Toby Halbrooks.  Jim Whitaker is producing the new Peter Pan movie.

It will star, newcomer Alexander Molnoy will be playing as Peter and Ever Anderson, who is the daughter of actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W. S. Anderson, will be playing Wendy.

Filming was due to begin in Canada this summer, for a 2021 release, though things will have no doubt changed due to Covid 19.
