Jesse Garcia Joins Cast Of Disney+ Original Film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”
Disney is currently developing a new version of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” for Disney+, which will star Eva Longoria and George Lopez.
The film tells the story of 11-year-old Alexander Garcia, who thinks he has the worst luck in the world. When his family sets off on a road trip to California, he’s pretty sure disaster awaits at every corner. His anxiety only increases when a family secret is revealed.
According to Deadline, Jesse Garcia has joined the cast of the film and will be playing the role of Frank Garcia, a happily married vegan chef, and father of Mia, David, and the titular Alexander. Frank clashes with his family when he refuses to modify his recipes to more traditional Mexican food, even if it means missing out on opportunities.
Jesse Garcia has previously starred in FX’s “Snowfall”, “The Shield”, and Marvel’s “Avengers” and he will also be starring in the upcoming Hulu/Star Original film, “Flamin’ Hot”, which has been directed by Eva Longoria.
This new version is going to be written by Matt Lopez and will be directed by Marvin Lemus. The film is produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Lisa Henson. Marisol Roncali and Chelsea Ellis Bloch serve as casting directors.
Disney has previously released a film in 2014, which starred Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, and Ed Oxenbould, and is loosely based on Judith Viorst’s 1972 children’s book of the same name. The film is also available to stream on Disney+. Jesse Garcia also starred in this version, playing the role of Dwayne.
