Jeremy Allen White To Star In “The Mandalorian & Grogu”
After three seasons of the hit Disney+ original series, “The Mandalorian”, the next big adventure for Mando and Grogu is heading to the big screen with a new movie, “The Mandalorian And Grogu”.
The new film will see Pedro Pascal return in the title role, and it was previously revealed that Sigourney Weaver will star in the film.
The InSneider has revealed that Jeremy Allen White has joined the cast and will be providing the voice of Jabba The Hutt’s son, Rotta The Hutt. It’s also been confirmed that this isn’t just going to be a quick cameo but will be a major character in the film.
Jeremy currently stars in the hit FX series, “The Bear”, and will be starring in the upcoming 20th Century Studios film, “Deliver Me from Nowhere”. He has also starred in “The Rental”, “Fremont”, and “The Iron Claw”.
Rotta The Hutt originally debuted in the hit animated film “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, where the character was nicknamed “Stinky” by Ahsoka Tano and was involved in a storyline where he was secretly kidnapped by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which was orchestrated by Count Dooku with help from Ziro, Rotta’s great-uncle. The kidnap plot was meant to discredit the Jedi Order and scuttle negotiations between the Galactic Republic and the Hutts, but the Jedi were able to rescue him.
“The Mandalorian And Grogu” is coming to cinemas on May 22nd 2026, and it will be coming to Disney+ later in 2026.
Roger’s Take: With the events of “The Mandalorian & Grogu” taking place over twenty years after the events of “The Clone Wars” movie, Rotta is obviously going to be a younger adult Hutt and could be a major villain for the film, especially following previous appearances of other Hutt characters in other shows over the year. It should also hopefully be a role Jeremy can do for a while since it’s a voice-acting role, so it can be a long-term character.
