Back in 2019, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios announced it was finally going to be bringing the first family, the “Fantastic Four”, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after years of being under the control of 20th Century Fox, who released three films featuring Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing and the Human Torch.

Over three years later, at this past summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel revealed that the film would be coming out in cinemas on November 8th, 2024 and that it would be the first film in phase 6, and at the recent D23 Expo, it was confirmed that Matt Shakman is going to be directing the film.

According to Deadline, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer have joined the project to write the film.  The duo have also written “Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer ” and the upcoming films “Disaster Wedding” and “K-Pop: Lost in America”.

No other details have yet been announced about the forthcoming “Fantastic Four” film, such as who will be playing the Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing and the Human Torch.   Earlier this year, John Krasinski appeared as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, though it is unknown if he will continue with the role in the new film.
