Jason George Returning To “Grey’s Anatomy”
Following the end of “Station 19” after seven seasons, it’s been revealed that Jason George will be rejoining “Grey’s Anatomy”, where he will continue to play the role of Doctor Ben Warren, who is the on-screen husband of Miranda Bailey.
Jason George debuted on the sixth season of “Grey’s Anatomy” and was a series regular in seasons twelve to fourteen, before shifting over to be a season regular in “Station 19” for seven seasons. The character also continued to make guest appearances on “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Originally, Ben’s character was introduced as an anaesthetist who eventually trained up to become a doctor, but his adrenaline-chasing habits led him to retrain as a firefighter, much to his wife’s displeasure, as she has suffered from anxiety attacks over worrying about him.
It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see Jason George jumping back to “Grey’s Anatomy”, since during the final season of “Station 19”, Ben has been questioning his future following a shoulder injury and in the season finale, Ben told Captain Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) that he was going back to finish his surgical residency.
All twenty seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” and all seven seasons of “Station 19” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: This jump makes complete sense from a story point of view and helps keep a familiar face on the show.
