Marvel Studios is developing a new “WandaVision” spin-off series for Disney+ featuring Vision, which will continue the story of Vision, who was killed during the events of “Avengers: Infinity War”, but was brought back twice in “Wandavision”.  

Marvel hasn’t officially announced the series, though it was previously known as “Vision Quest” and Kevin Feige has spoken openly about the project in interviews. This might have changed.   It’s been in development since 2022. It will see Paul Bettany return as White Vision, who is trying to regain his memory and humanity.

In the “WandaVision” finale, we saw two versions of Vision battling one another.  One had been resurrected by the Scarlet Witch and another one had been recreated by the S.W.O.R.D, but when Wanda’s version of Vision scanned through White Vision’s memory, it jogged his memory, declaring “I Am Vision” and he flew off.

This upcoming series will also bring back another character from the dead. Deadline reports that James Spader is set to return to reprise his role of Ultron in the new Vision series. It’s not clear if he will just be returning to do a voiceover for the role or if they are going to do something different.

James Spader has also starred in many films and shows throughout his career including “The Blacklist” and “Stargate”.

Ultron was last seen in live-action in the “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, which saw the superhero team come together to battle the Artificial Intelligence bot, and while we thought Ultron had been destroyed, it looks like they’ve found a way to bring him back.

The character also returned in the animated series, “What If?” though James Spader didn’t reprise his role.

Terry Matalas was recently revealed to be the showrunner for this new series, taking over from Jac Schaeffer,

No other details on the upcoming Vision series have been revealed. It’s expected that the series will debut in 2026, and it’s hoped that some other characters might return for the series, such as the return of Wanda, Agatha, or Wiccan.
