20th Century Studios are developing a new film in the Alien franchise, and according to a report from Deadline, Isabela Merced has joined the cast of the film, to co-star opposite Cailee Spaney.

Disney hasn’t revealed any details on this upcoming film, other than it will feature the infamous ferocious race of alien beings called Xenomorphs, who will be fighting with any human that crosses their path.

Isabela has previously worked with 20th Century Studios on the Hulu/Star Original film, “Rosaline”, and she will also be starring in the upcoming Sony Pictures Spider-Man universe film, “Madame Web”.   The new film is going to be directed by Fede Alvarez and is being produced by Scott Free.

This isn’t the only project currently in development featuring the Alien franchise, as FX is also currently developing a show with “Fargo” showrunner Noah Hawley.
