This summer, Barbie jumps from the toy aisle into live-action, as Warner Brothers Discovery brings the iconic doll to life in a new film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

In this new film, Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colourful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.

“Barbie” has been created by Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig, who has previously worked on “Little Women” and “Lady Bird”.   It also stars America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Rhea Perlman and Will Ferrell, along with Michael Cera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Dua Lipa and Helen Mirren.  Greta Gerwig and Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach have written the screenplay.
