Last month, Disney released a brand new original drama series from Korea called “Hyper Knife”, which tells the story of Seok, who is an eager yet genius neurosurgeon who is reunited with Deokhee, the professor who ruined her life long ago. Once, the two surgeons cared for each other more than anyone else. But now, with nothing but hatred toward each other, Seok is furious that he is back in her life and vows to take revenge.

The new series has already been a massive hit for Disney+, as it’s been revealed that “Hyper Knife” has become the most-viewed Korean premiere globally on Disney+ in 2025, based on the first seven days of streaming.    “Hyper Knife” has been released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.

The show debuted on March 19th 2025, with the first two episodes, and new episodes are being released each Wednesday, with the season finale dropping onto Disney+ on April 9th 2025.

“Hyper Knife” stars Park Eunbin, Sul Kyunggu, Yoon Chanyoung and Park Byungeun.  It was written by Kim Sunhee, who worked on “Quiz From God: Reboot”, and it was directed by Kim Junghyun, who has previously worked on “After the Rain” and “My Fellow Citizens!”

Disney has had lots of success with its original Korean shows like “Moving”, “Snowdrop” and “Big Bet”.  Later this year, it will be releasing more Korean drama shows, including “Nine Puzzles,” “Low Life”, and “Tempest”.
