20th Television is developing a brand new drama series called “The Spot”, which is going to star Kate Winslet, as a successful surgeon and her school teacher husband who suspect she might be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death. While looking into the matter, dark secrets are revealed that will test their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.

Hulu has given this new series a straight-to-series order. It is being created by Ed Solomon, who has previously worked on “Full Circle” and “Men in Black.” He will write the show and also be the showrunner.

According to Deadline, the project was picked up by Hulu in a competitive situation, which was developed and shopped around the studios by A24, who will continue to be the lead studio, with 20th Television co-producing.

Kate Winslet will also be an executive producer through her Juggle Productions, which recently produced the HBO series, “Mare Of Easttown”. Kate has previously starred in “Titanic” and the “Avatar” movies.

It’s not yet been revealed when “The Spot” will be coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. It’s also not clear if the series will also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
