This April, a brand new Australian Original series “Matildas: The World At Our Feet” is coming to Disney+ and is an inspirational and intimate behind-the-scenes story of the CommBank Matildas – Australia’s women’s national football team, which will premiere on the platform on 26 April, 2023.

A must-watch ahead of the Women’s World Cup, the series follows the stories of players, including global superstars Sam Kerr, Ellie Carpenter, Mary Fowler and more, as the Matildas reveal the sacrifices they’ve made and struggles they’ve endured as they look to become the best of the best in the world’s most popular sport. Despite all their hardships, their sights are set on one goal throughout – to leave a lasting legacy and inspire future generations to pursue their dreams.


Who Created “Matildas: The World At Our Feet”

“Matildas: The World at Our Feet” is produced for Disney+ by Barking Mad Productions and Station 10 Media. The series is directed by Katie Bender Wynn (The Will To Fly), with Steve Bibb (Shipwreck Hunters Australia, Inside the Sydney Opera House) and Christopher G Cowen (Decades Series, College Football 150, State of Play) serving as Executive Producers, and David Briegel-Jones as Co-Executive Producer. Fremantle and Boardwalk Pictures also contributed services to the production.


How To Watch “Matildas: The World At Our Feet”

The brand-new series from Disney will be released exclusively on Disney+ around the world. So it won’t be available on other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or HBO Max.

Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with The Simpsons and much more. In select international markets, it also includes the general entertainment content brand, Star.

Disney+ is currently available in more than 150 markets across North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Africa, and Latin America.

To watch Disney+, you’ll need to download the app on a supported device such as a Smart TV, Mobile Phone, Playstation, Xbox or on a dedicated streaming device like a Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, or Sky Q.
