This summer, Disney is releasing a new documentary about the legend, Stan Lee, who is the co-creator of such legendary characters as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer, Ant-Man, Nick Fury, The Avengers and hundreds more.

The documentary weaves together personal recorded footage from Lee, along with recorded recollections of his career never before seen by the public. These are accompanied by archived interview clips, newsreels, and models that immerse viewers in Lee’s world, in addition to hearing from some of his closest friends and collaborators.


Who Created “Stan Lee”

“Stan Lee” has been directed by David Gelb, and it has been produced by Jason Sterman, David Gelb, and Brian McGinn. The executive producers include Jeff Redmond, Andy Heyward, Gill Champion, Jamie McBriety, and Sarah Regan.


How To Watch “Stan Lee”

The brand-new documentary will be released exclusively on Disney+ around the world. So it won’t be available on other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Max.

What Time Will “Stan Lee” Be Released On Disney+

Disney+ updates on Fridays at the following times:

  • Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight
  • Eastern Time: 03:00 AM
  • UK: 08:00 AM
  • Sydney, Australia – 19:00 PM

Sometimes episodes can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.


Can You Stream “Stan Lee” For Free?

You will need a Disney+ subscription to watch “Stan Lee”, and unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t offer a free trial.  But if you do sign up for a monthly subscription, you can unsubscribe after a month, or when the series ends.


Is “Stan Lee” on Netflix?

This documentary is made exclusively for Disney+, so it will not be available on Netflix, Max, or Amazon.
