Disney has announced that the season two finale of “How I Met Your Father” will be filmed in front of a live studio for the first time.

“How I Met Your Father”, is written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The series stars Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma as well as recurring stars, Kim Cattrall, Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes and Josh Peck.

The show is set in the near future, where, Sophie (Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present day where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends – Jesse (Lowell), Valentina (Raisa), Charlie (Ainsley), Ellen (Tran) and Sid (Sharma) —  are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

Hilary Duff took to social media to announce the special finale:

The filming is going to be taking place on Friday, 3rd February 2023, in Los Angeles.  Unfortunately, tickets to be in the audience sold out quickly.  All guests must be fully vaccinated with the first round of the primary series, and all guests must administer an at-home rapid test prior to arrival. Plus, they will have to wear appropriate face coverings.

The first season of “How I Met Your Father” is available to stream now on Hulu in the United States, on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world. New episodes from the second season are currently being released weekly on Disney’s streaming platforms.
