Disney has announced that it will be releasing the “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash” special on Disney+ in the United States on Friday 30th September 2022, just in time for the Halloween season.

The 90-minute special, filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery, celebrates the movie’s status as a Halloween staple.  It was originally released on FreeForm in 2018 .

“Hocus Pocus 25^th Anniversary Halloween Bash” featured musical performances by:

• Dove Cameron
• PrettyMuch
• Junior New System
• Drag superstar Lady Bunny will be spinning spooky beats throughout the evening as the resident DJ

There was also a “Hocus Pocus” themed costume contest, that was judged by Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne.

On the same day, Disney will be releasing a “Hocus Pocus” sequel, which brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters for more comedic mayhem. It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.
