Highlights From The “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!” Event
On Friday, Disney hosted a special event at its California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, called
“Disney Jr. Let’s Play!”, which featured sneak peeks and announcements of upcoming new Disney Jr. series, as well as fun activities celebrating the playful and music-filled stories of Disney Jr.’s hit series, including a Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party and special stage shows and photo opportunities featuring beloved Disney Jr. characters.
During the event, Disney revealed that they had greenlit a brand new series called “Cars: Lighting Racers,” which sees Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy reprising their roles as Lightning McQueen and Mater, respectively. Other big announcements included a new preschool Avengers series “Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” and season two and three orders for “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+,” a continuation of the beloved Emmy Award-winning original series, which welcomes a whole new generation of preschoolers and their families to the iconic Clubhouse.
The event will be moving to Downtown Disney District on Saturday, 9th August 2025, and Sunday, 10th August 2025, with photo opportunities, “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!”-themed merchandise at World of Disney and a “Let’s Play!” Bubbles Experience presented by Disney Jr. at Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and lawn. Admission to Downtown Disney is complimentary.
The “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!” event is happening during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, and guests can also enjoy limited-time food and beverage, merchandise and exciting entertainment offerings, such as “World of Color Happiness!”
