Disney has released new details on the upcoming fifth season of the FX series, “Fargo”, which is returning on Tuesday, 21st November 2023 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX, with episodes available the next day on Hulu.

The fifth season will consist of ten episodes and will be set in 2019 in Minnesota and North Dakota. The series will tell the story of what happens after an unexpected series of events lands “Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lyon” in hot water with the authorities, this seemingly typical Midwestern housewife is suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind.

The series is produced by Peabody and Emmy Award-winning EP Hawley (showrunner/writer/director), and his production company 26 Keys, EP Warren Littlefield (The Handmaid’s Tale, The Old Man), and his production company The Littlefield Company, as well as EPs Steve Stark, Kim Todd, and Joel and Ethan Coen.
The upcoming series is a spin-off from the Oscar-winning 1996 Coen Brothers movie and  stars Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh, Joe Keery, Lamorne Morris and Richa Moorjani

“Furgo” is created by the acclaimed creator and executive producer Noah Hawley and executive producers Warren Littlefield, Joel & Ethan Coen, Steve Stark, Kim Todd and Vincent Landay.  “Fargo” is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio. The series is internationally distributed by Amazon & MGM Studios Distribution, which is why it’s currently not available on Disney+ around the world.

The previous four seasons are also available to stream now on Hulu.
