FX’s “English Teacher” Season 2 Details Released

Disney has announced details on the upcoming second season of the original FX comedy series, “English Teacher”, which will return to our screens in September.

The show was created by Brian Jordan Alvarez, in which he stars as “Evan Marquez,” a high school teacher in Austin, Texas, who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school. Over the first season, Evan navigates his relationships, his students and his fellow faculty and tries to answer the question: can you really be your full self at your job?

In the second season, Evan Marquez continues to navigate his way through the political minefield known as the American high school. Back with Evan — though not always on his side — are his best friend Gwen, gym teacher Markie, wild card guidance counsellor Rick, and constantly terrified Principal Grant Moretti.

Not surprisingly, Evan still refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. This season, the gang finds themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, COVID, military recruitment and student cellphone usage.

Evan also struggles to keep his relationship with Malcolm separate from his work life. Even though Malcolm no longer works at Morrison-Hensley, Evan’s excessive righteousness at school takes an increasing toll on his romantic life.

The series also stars Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, Sean Patton and Carmen Christopher.  FX’s “English Teacher” is executive produced by Alvarez, Paul Simms, Jonathan Krisel, Dave King, Kathryn Dean, Jake Bender and Zach Dunn. “English Teacher” is produced by FX Productions.

The second season will premiere on the FX channel on Thursday, 25th September 2025, at 9 pm with three back-to-back episodes.  All ten episodes of the second season will then be released the next day on September 26th 2025, on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers and VOD via television providers.   No international Disney+ release details have been announced for the second season.

The first season of “English Teacher” is available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
