During the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, FX president John Landgraf shared an update on the first television series based on one of the greatest science-fiction horror classics ever made: “Alien.”

The show was originally announced at last years Investor Day event and is being worked on by Noah Hawley, who previously worked on “Fargo”.

John Landgraf has said that the series is going to be expensive and also gave us an update on when it might be released, saying, “I have optimism that that show may well roll out in 2023,” he said. “It will probably roll out 2023, but we want to get it right.”

He also added that “I think Noah’s very conscious of the fact that there’s a cinematic universe”.

The new series is set not too far into our future, and it’s the first Alien story set on Earth. It blends both the timeless horror of the first “Alien” film with the non-stop action of the second. It’s going to be a scary thrill ride that will blow people back in their seats.

This new Alien series will be coming to Hulu in the United States and will be released internationally on Disney+ .
