One of the biggest hits from FX in recent years has been “The Bear”, which follows  Carmy, a young fine-dining chef who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop. As he fights to transform the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges crew that ultimately reveals themselves as his chosen family.

The show stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, all of whom have become major in-demand actors following its success. This might result in a change for the upcoming third season, as according to Deadline, the show has been picked up for a fourth season and is going to be filmed back to back later this year in Chicago.

Production on the third season began last month and is scheduled to be released on Hulu/Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world in June.

This series was picked up for a third season back in November, and officially, no details have been confirmed about a fourth season. However, with the actors’ schedules becoming much more packed with more job opportunities, such as Ebon Moss-Bachrach starring in the new Marvel film The Fantastic Four, shooting back-to-back will help keep the show on track for years to come.

The move to filming a third and fourth season back to back will no doubt raise concerns over the show’s future, as FX did a similar thing with its hit show, “Atlanta”, with the fourth season wrapping up the show.  Apparently, a fifth season of “The Bear” could still be a possibility, and we would be unlikely to hear much about this for a while if it’s true.

FX’s “The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer (Ramy, Eighth Grade), who acts as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo (BoJack Horseman, Undone), Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Station Eleven) of Super Frog, Josh Senior and Matty Matheson, with Tyson Bidner (Ramy) serving as producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.

The first two seasons of “The Bear” are out now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.
