Disney’s FX has ordered a new comedy pilot that is called “Snowflakes”, which is about a twenty-something ensemble comedy following a group of codependent housemates trying to be good people, despite being neither “good” nor “people” yet.

The new pilot is being created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, who have previously written on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show”, and they will be executive producers on the project.

Nick Kroll will produce it, and Karey Dornetto, who previously worked on “Awkafina Is Nora From Queens,” will be the showrunner of the project.  They are also both executive producers on the project, along with Alicia Van Couvering, who runs his Good at Business production banner, who has a first-look deal with FX Productions.

The pilot is going to be directed by Jonathan Krisel, who has previously directed the FX pilot “English Teacher” and on the FX series, “Baskets”. Jonathan will also be an executive producer on the project.

While Disney is scaling back how much general entertainment content it creates to save money and offer a more curated lineup of better originals, it has recently seen several well-established shows like “Archer” and “What We Do In The Shadows” come to an end, so need to replace some of those.

FX Productions is creating the show, and should the pilot get picked up for a series, we should expect to see it released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
