FX Developing “Last Night Was A Movie” Comedy Series

Disney’s FX is developing a new comedy series called “Last Night Was A Movie”, which is being created by sketch group Almost Friday.

No plot details for the show have been revealed, except that it is described as a high-concept comedy.

Almost Friday consists of Billy Langdon, Liam Cullagh, Chet Collins, Eilise Patton, and Will Angus, who are creating the show along with BoulderLight Pictures’ J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules, who took the idea to Almost Friday.

According to Deadline, the creatives at Almost Friday are expected to work as writers and producers, along with on-screen roles.

Ben Purdy, who is the President of BoulderLight Television, is developing the show with Tyler Falbo, Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, who are expected to serve as showrunners and executive producers. A+E Studios and Range Studios, in which A+E has a minority stake, will serve as the studio for FX.

Should the project get picked up for a series, we should expect to see it released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
