Disney’s FX has ordered a pilot for an untitled half-hour comedy that has been written by Lauren Ludwig, who has previously worked on “American Auto”, “Cake”, and “Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy“.

This new pilot has been described as a metaphysical comedy about a group of queer twenty-somethings forced by the most unlikely source to confront their generational anxieties and unpack their emotional baggage.

Lauren Ludwig is also executive producing with Chris & Paul Weitz, who have previously worked on “About A Boy” as part of their Depth Of Field banner.  Also executive producing is Andrew Miano, Dan Balgoyen, and Aaron Kogan.

FX productions is creating the pilot, and should it be made into a series, we should expect to see it on Hulu in the US and as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
