Disney has released the trailer for the upcoming French Disney+ Original film, “Antigang: La Relève”, which will be coming to Disney+ on August 25th 2023.  This explosively humorous action film brings together Alban Lenoir , Jean Reno and Sofia Essaïdi.

Former legend of the Antigang brigade known for his muscular and unconventional methods, Niels Cartier ( Alban Lenoir ), left the police following an intervention that went wrong and led to the death of his wife. When the gang of robbers responsible for his death reappears eight years later, Niels doesn’t let anyone stand in his way for revenge. Even if it means having to form an explosive duo in spite of himself with his 14-year-old daughter ( Cassiopée Mayance ), with a strong temperament…

Eight years after the first film, Alban Lenoir (the “Lost Ball” saga) gives new impetus to action cinema in France. He finds his Antigang partners, Jean Reno (“Léon”, Mission: Impossible), Stéfi Celma (“Ten percent”), Sébastien Lalanne (“Hero Corp”), Jean-Toussaint Bernard (Le Flambeau) and Oumar Diaw (A Banal Story).

The film has been directed by Benjamin Rocher’s camera (“Antigang”, “the Parallels series”) and has been co-produced by Raphaël Rocher and Eric Laroche for Empreinte Digitale and Empreinte Cinéma (“Parallèles” series on Disney+, “Infiniti” on Canal+, and the films “Antigang” and “Let’s Dance”) and by Thierry Desmichelle , Rémi Jimenez and Ségolène Dupont for SND (“Seven Sisters”, “Irreductible”, and “L’Abbé Pierre – une vie de combat”, presented in the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival). The screenplay is by Bertrand Soulier (the “Moah” series) and Benjamin Rocher , based on an original story by Alban Lenoir , Benjamin Rocher and Tristan Schulmann . Maxime Cointe (“Missions”) is the director of photography.

While no international release date has been announced, other French Disney+ Originals have been released globally simultaneously, so “Antigang: La Relève” will likely do the same.
