Over the past few weeks, Disney has been slowly building up its new “Hularious” comedy brand with new original comedy specials. 

The first special featuring Jim Gaffigan, called “The Skinny” will air on November 22nd, 2024 on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.

Other comedians signed up to deliver these new monthly one-hour comedy specials, including Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Jim Gaffigan, Ilana Glazer, Andrew Santino, Ralph Barbosa, Zarna Garg, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Atsuko Okatsuka and Roy Wood Jr.

Disney has also announced that Frankie Quiñones has also joined the program and will mark the final instalment in the first year of “Hularious”.  No release date for this upcoming special have been announced.

Frankie has previously starred in the Hulu/Star Original comedy “This Fool” and is developing a new sketch show called “Get Frankie” for Hulu.   Other shows that Frankie has appeared in include “What We Do In The Shadows” and “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live”.

He also took to social media to confirm the news:

Frankie’s special will be directed and produced by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ali Wong (Beef), with Irwin Entertainment also on board to produce.  Ali said in a statement regarding the comedy special”

“Frankie, on and offstage, was always one of the funniest coming up in the Bay Area comedy scene. I’m really honored to be directing and producing his first stand up special because his hour is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. People mostly know him as Creeper from the viral Cholofit videos or from his hilarious performance in “This Fool,” so I’m excited for the world to watch his stand-up.”
