Francis Bourgeois To Make UK Cameo In Pixar’s “Elemental”
Disney has announced that railway enthusiast and social media sensation Francis Bourgeois will be jumping on board to voice a cameo for the upcoming Pixar film “Elemental”. Francis will follow in the footsteps of previous Disney and Pixar U.K. cameo voices who include Tim Peake (Lightyear), Anne-Marie (Turning Red) and Gino D’Acampo (Luca). Francis will voice the Wetro Operator (a train operator who drives the Wetro train in Element City) in the UK version of “Elemental”, which pulls into cinemas from 7th July 2023.
Speaking of his voice role in the film, Francis Bourgeois said:
‘When I was working as an engineer and started uploading trainspotting videos to TikTok in 2021, I never thought I’d one day be voicing a character in a Disney and Pixar movie. It’s the role I’ve unknowingly been preparing for, having rehearsed railway voice announcers from as young as I can remember. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together and people across the UK can see me in my element, transporting people around Element City!’
Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, p.g.a., and executive produced by Pete Docter, “Elemental” features a screenplay by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh with story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel and Hsueh. The film’s original score was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.
