Disney has announced details on a wave of brand new South Korean Disney+ Original series, which will be coming out in 2022.
The new series include Big Mouse”, “The Zone: Endure Live”, “Moving” and “Casino”. No international release dates have been announced yet, but we should expect these Original series to also be released in other countries at some point in the future.
To help increase Disney+ subscribers in South Korea, there will be 12 new originals available this year on the streaming service, which includes hits like “Rookie Cops” and “Snowdrop”.

This new crime action film depicts the fascinating story of a casino king, Choi Min-sik, the protagonist of the Cannes Jury Grand Prize winner “Oldboy” and Korea’s representative actor, returns to the drama after 24 years! The series starsSohn Seok-gu, Lee Dong-hwi, Ryu Hyeon-kyung, Heo Seong-tae, and Kim Joo-ryeong! It will be directed by Kang Yoon-seong of the movie. The series draws an interesting story of returning to the game at the risk of survival and life.
The Zone: Survival Mission
This brand new mystery variety show that has only one rule: “Survive, no matter what”. For each mission, cast members will enter an unknown, virtual reality space through a secret door. No matter what reality they face through the door, they must endure and survive. The project is headed by Jo Hyo Jin PD of ‘Family Outing‘ and ‘X-Man‘, a longtime colleague of Yoo Jae Suk.
“Moving” is directed by Park In-jae. This Disney+ original series features Lee Jung-ha, Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung and Kim Sung-kyun in main roles. It’s based on a webtoon by Kang Full, the series is a supernatural drama that deals with three teenager high school students and their parents who discover their super powers.
Park Chang-Ho (Lee Jong-Suk) works as a lawyer with a measly 10% winning rate. He is a talkative person and, because of this people call him Big Mouth. He happens to get involved in a murder case and he is somehow fingered as genius swindler Big Mouse. Due to this, Park Chang-Ho finds himself in a life-threatening situation. Meanwhile, Go Mi-Ho (Lim Yoon-A) is Park Chang-Ho’s wife and she works as a nurse. She has a beautiful appearance and a personality that is both wise and brave. She helped her husband become a lawyer by supporting him financially and psychologically. Go Mi-Ho learns that Park Chang-Ho is suspected to be the genius swindler Big Mouse and attempts to clear her husband’s name.
