Disney has released a trailer and poster for the upcoming original special, “For the First Time in Forever: The Making of World of Frozen”, which will be coming to Disney+ around the world on June 7th 2024.

This new special highlights the creation of the world’s first and largest Frozen-themed land, which opened at Hong Kong Disneyland last November. Inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ films, “Frozen” and “Frozen 2,” which are among the biggest animated films of all time, World of Frozen transports guests to the cinematic and living land – Arendelle. Guests will delve into this immersive travel destination, with its captivating stories, beloved characters, culture, stunning landscapes, enchanting music, and cutting-edge technology for the first time in forever by celebrating Summer Snow Day and enjoying the fun-filled attractions such as Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.

The special is presented by Korean Pop Star Taeyeon, who is a member of the girl group Girls’ Generation.

Originally, Disney had announced that it would be coming to Disney+ in the United States on June 1st, but it has since removed it from its schedule.

Roger’s Take: This special looks like it’s much more focused on trying to promote Hong Kong Disneyland in Korea and other regions within Asia, which makes total sense.  Hong Kong Disneyland is a fantastic theme park and I hope to one day revisit and check out the new Frozen Land, so I’m certainly looking forward to watching this special to see what it looks like, though for English speakers, hitting YouTube for vloggers will offer a more honest review than a fluffy advertising piece.
