First Look At “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+ Series
Disney has released the teaser trailer for the brand new Disney+ Original series, “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” series.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master and the story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Entertainment Weekly has released some new images from the upcoming Disney+ series, giving us a first look at Ewan McGregor as Kenobi, plus a look at Uncle Owen, who is looking after a young Luke Skywalker. We also get to have our first look at the fearsome new villain in the form of a relentless Inquisitor named Reva (played by The Queen Gambit‘s Moses Ingram).
The show’s director Deborah Chow and writer Joby Harold describe the new Inquisitor character as ruthlessly ambitious.
In the series, they also visit a new planet called Daiyu, which “sort of has a Hong Kong feel to it,” says writer Joby Harold. “It’s got a graffiti-ridden nightlife, and is kind of edgy. It’s just got a different lane and a different feeling.”

The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold.
“Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” will debut exclusively on Disney+ on May 25th
