First Look At French Disney+ Original “Irresistible”
Disney has announced details and revealed a brand new poster for the upcoming French Original series, “Irresistible”, which will be coming to Disney+ in France on 20th September 2023.
In this tender and unexpected romantic comedy, Adèle (Camélia Jordana), creator of a successful podcast, has a mutual love at first sight for Arthur (Théo Navarro-Mussy), a mathematician. But as soon as she is in his presence, she has panic attacks and even risks discomfort. The diagnosis is simple: Adele has post-traumatic stress disorder, a direct consequence of her previous love story that ended badly. Adèle then has no choice but to stay away from Arthur. But the attraction is too strong…
Camélia Jordana (“The Things We Tell, The Things We Do”, “The Brio”, “The Night Came”) plays the character of Adèle. This is the first series for the singer and actress, who is accompanied on the screen by Théo Navarro-Mussy (“Hippocrates”), Corentin Fila (“Mortal”), Zinedine Soualem (“In Body”, “L’Ecume des jours”, “Le Scaphandre et le papillon”), Salomé Dewaels (“Lost Illusions”), Zoé Schell.

The “Irresistible” series was imagined and created by Clémence Madeleine-Perdrillat, who notably provided the writing direction for season 2 of the series “En Thérapie”. In “Irresistible”, she chose to place action at the heart of a realistic and authentic Paris, far from tourist clichés, shooting in particular in rarely filmed neighbourhoods: those of the 19th and 20th arrondissements. She addresses the topics of commitment for today’s couples, and treats with finesse, humour and sensitivity the time required to learn about oneself and the other in a new romantic relationship.
Clémence Madeleine-Perdrillat was also co-creator of the series “Nona et ses filles” and co-writer of the series “Nox”, “UFO(s)”, “Les Gouttes de Dieu” and the short film “Les mauvais garçons” César for the best short film 2022.
Antony Cordier directs the first three episodes of “Irresistible” (“Gaspment Goes to the Wedding”, “Happy Few”), was awarded the Louis-Delluc Prize for Best First Film for “Cold Showers” and was recently multi-awarded for the series “UFO(s)”. The following three episodes are directed by Laure de Butler (“Symp Syndrome E”, “The Promise”, “The Man I Condemned”).
The original music was composed by Yuksek, and the series was filmed in Paris. This is the first series produced by Arnaud de Crémiers within Jour Premier Production, Gaumont’s new subsidiary.

While no international release date for Disney+ has yet been confirmed, most French originals have been released on Disney+ globally and other more mature titles on Star+ in Latin America and on Hulu in the United States.
