
First Look At Anne Hathaway In “The Devil Wears Prada 2”
Disney’s 20th Century Studios has released the first photo from the upcoming sequel to the hit movie, “The Devil Wears Prada”,
which is currently in production.
The photo shows Anne Hathaway, repriging her role of Andy Sachs, who in the original film, who was an aspiring journalist who becomes the personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the ruthless editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine named Runway.
No plot details on the upcoming sequel have been released yet, but it will reportedly follow Runway’s terrifying editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She will face off against Emily Charlton, who is played by Emily Blunt, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.
The movie will also feature Stanley Tucci’s return for the sequel, with Kenneth Branagh joining the film, where he will play the husband of Stanley’s character. Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet. Helen J. Shen, Contrad Ricamora, and Caleb Hearon are also going to make appearances in the movie.
The sequel will be released in cinemas on May 1st 2026, so we should expect it to arrive on Disney+ a few months later.
This new movie is going to be filmed in New York and Italy. It will be directed by David Frankel, who helmed the first film, and Aline Brosh McKenna, the writer who adapted the New York Times mega-bestseller book by Lauren Weisberger.
The original “The Devil Wears Prada” movie is available to stream now on Disney+.
