First Details On Star Wars Live Action Service Announced

Jon Favreau has announced via Instagram that his upcoming Star Wars series, will be called “The Mandalorian”, and follow a “lone gunfighter.”  It will be set between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens”.

This live action series will be part of Disney’s new streaming service, which launches in 2019. Disney are developing multiple live-action Star Wars TV series for its upcoming streaming service.

We’ve seen other Mandalorian’s in the Star Wars universe including Boba Fett, Jango Fett and Sabine Wren.

Mandalorians were a predominantly human ethnolinguistic cultural group who originated on the planet Mandalore.
