With just weeks until the return of the popular competition series, “Dancing With The Stars”, for its 33rd season, Disney has kicked off its celebrity reveal campaign by announcing that Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik has joined the cast on this morning’s “Good Morning America”.

“Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, the hit series pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.

The two-time Olympic medalist has also previously won many championships including the world title in 2021 plus he is also a two-time FIG World Cup champion, a four-time U.S. national champion, and a two-time NCAA national champion for the apparatus.

He has gained lots of media attention for his performances in the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he was dubbed “The Specialist” and “Pommel Horse Guy”. He became a viral star as during the Paris Olympics. The cameras caught him meditating on the sidelines while he waited for his turn on the pommel horse. He is also known for how the removal of his glasses before he starts his pommel horse routines has been widely compared to Clark Kent’s transformation into Superman

Stephen made reference to these two events while on GMA, saying that he just might have to continue his pre-performance meditation routine for “Dancing With The Stars” since “It’s kind of what I do to calm myself down, so I probably will be bringing that to the dance floor.”

He also addressed taking his glasses off during his performance and they would have “have fun with it” by coming up with a device to keep them in place.

The upcoming season will air live on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, 17th September 2024, at 8:00 p.m. EDT, with episodes also available the next day on Hulu.
