Last week, Japan hosted Star Wars Celebration, where more details were revealed about the upcoming second season of the Disney+ Original series, “Star Wars: Ahsoka”.

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano, Padawan to Anakin Skywalker, as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

“Ahsoka” stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Eman Esfandi. The second season will see Rory McCann take over the role of former Jedi Baylan Skoll from the late Ray Stevenson, who tragically died after wrapping filming of the first season.

During the “Ahsoka” panel, it was confirmed that filming on the second season would be starting later this month, and today, Rosario Dawson took to social media to share a photo of her in her Ahsoka costume, with the comment:

& we’re off…to galaxies far, far away….!

Also revealed during the “Ahsoka” panel at Star Wars Celebration, was that Admiral Ackbar is going to be returning for the upcoming series and will face off against Thrawn. It was also confirmed that Hayden Christensen will be returning as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming season season.

The first season of “Ahsoka” is available to stream on Disney+ now and the second season is due to be released on Disney+ during 2026.
