This is an exciting time of year when it comes to casting news and pilot orders from Disney’s network of television studios. And hot off the heels of the news we shared with you a few days ago, the new ABC comedy series pilot has cast another series regular.
Deadline reports that Evangeline Young has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming ABC comedy pilot ‘The Son In Law’. Now Evangeline Young is no stranger to the ABC/Disney family as she was also in the ABC series ‘Emergence‘. As we reported, she joins an already fantastic starring cast. This cast includes series regulars Chris Sullivan, Reema Sampat, Meera Simhan, and Anupam Kher.
Evangeline Young’s character has been described as such:
“Young will play Charlotte Walton. She’s Jake’s only child, a smart, tough social-justice-minded recent college graduate who is deeply in love with her boyfriend Ben, an EMT with whom she lives in a third-story walk-up in the Bronx. Quirky, funny, and strong-minded, Charlie is thrilled that she has become pregnant, and will opt not to apply to law school and concentrate on just “being a mom.” Needless to say, when her dad hears about her pregnancy and her plan, he’s not a very happy camper, especially since Charlie and Ben haven’t been together long, and Ben is so much older than Charlie
‘The Son in Law’ is written and executive produced by Ajay Sahgal. The series is also executive produced by Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar. The Detective Agency is the production company behind the series. And 20th Television is the studio.
