“Ella McCay” Trailer Released

Disney has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming movie from 20th Century Studios called “Ella McCay”, which is a brand new original film that has been written and directed by Oscar and Emmy Award winner James L. Brooks, who previously worked on “As Good as It Gets” and “The Simpsons”.

The new movie tells the story of an idealistic young woman who juggles her family and work life in a comedy about the people you love and how to survive them.

This film features an all-star cast including Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks with Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson. The film is produced by James L. Brooks, Richard Sakai, Julie Ansell, and Jennifer Brooks.

“Ella McCay”  opens exclusively in theatres on December 12th, 2025, and we should expect to see it released on Hulu and Disney+ in early 2026.
