The BBC has released a new character poster from the upcoming third “Doctor Who” 60th Anniversary special, “The Giggle”, which is coming out this Saturday, 9th December 2023, on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom/Ireland and Disney+ around the world, including in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In “The Giggle”, The TARDIS takes the Doctor and Donna to the furthest edge of adventure. To escape, they must face the most desperate fight of their lives, with the fate of the universe at stake.

The new poster features Neil Patrick Harris as The Toymaker, an old foe of the Doctor from the 1960s.

“Doctor Who” is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios. The series returns under the creative vision of returning showrunner Russell T. Davies, who also serves as a writer and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Phil Collinson, Joel Collins, Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter. The 60th-anniversary specials are written by Russell T. Davies and directed by Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley, and Chanya Button, respectively. BBC Studios is handling the global distribution for the show.

“The Giggle” will be released on Saturday, 9th December 2023, on the BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom and on Disney+ around the world, including in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The first two 60th Anniversary specials are also available to stream now on those platforms.
