Just days after Walt Disney Studios presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where audiences got to see a teaser trailer for the new instalment in the “Tron” franchise, Disney has now released a teaser trailer for “Tron: Ares” to the whole world.

The new movie is the highly anticipated third installment in the Tron franchise and follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with AI beings.

“Tron: Ares”  is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges. Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook and Steven Lisberger are the producers.

The previous two “Tron” films, along with the animated series are also available to stream on Disney+ now.

“Tron: Ares” opens in theaters on October 10th 2025, and will arrive on Disney+ in early 2026.

Roger’s Take:  This trailer did a fantastic job in convincing me, as I thought the trailer looked fantastic, and I’m certainly going to be seeing this in cinemas the day it comes out.  As a big fan of the “Tron” franchise, both the movies and videos games, I can’t wait for this one.
