In celebration of “Orangutan,” the Disney Conservation Fund is supporting Wildlife Asia and their partner, Leuser Conservation Forum, to protect Sumatran orangutans, elephants and tigers across more than 5 million acres of forest habitat—and to help rebuild the Ketambe Research Center and support rangers impacted by catastrophic flooding. This center and teams were critical to the making of “Orangutan,” offering filmmakers support and guidance almost every day while in the field.
“Orangutan” is directed by Mark Linfield, co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz, and produced by Linfield, Berlowitz and Roy Conli, with original music by Nitin Sawhney.
Additionally, viewers can step into the wild this Earth Month by streaming the entire Disneynature Collection on Disney+, discovering awe-inspiring animal stories in films like “Sea Lions of the Galapagos,” “Tiger,” “Polar Bear,” “Elephant,” “Penguins” and other breathtaking documentaries.
