Disney has confirmed that the DisneyNature documentary, Penguins, will be coming to Disney+ on Friday April 3rd and it will be accompanied with a Disney+ Original,  Life on the Edge – “Penguins Behind the Scenes”.

Disneynature’s feature film “Penguins” is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he’s targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after.

The film has been made by the filmmaking team behind “Bears” and “Chimpanzee”.  It is narrated by Ed Helms.

Penguins was released in theatres in April 2019, just prior to “Earth Day”, so it has taken much longer than any other Walt Disney Studios movie, though Disney seems to have held it back longer to tie in with this years “Earth Day”.

Are you excited to watch Penguins?
