Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recently urged the film and TV industry to consider pausing production for a few weeks during the ongoing surge in coronavirus cases throughout the county.

Disney joins CBS Studios, Warner Bros. TV and Universal TV in delaying the return to filming after the holiday break.  CBS’s also did the same on the Disney+ Original series “Diary Of A Future President”.

Disney Television Studios has paused productions on a number of its shows including the Disney+ series “Big Shot” plus many other shows including “The Orville”, “Love, Victor”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Station 19”, “American Housewife”, “Black-ish”, “Mixed-ish”, “Rebel”, “911”, “911: Lone Star”, “Last Man Standing”, “American Crime Story: Impeachment”, “American Horror Story” and “Mayans”.

Filming had paused for the holidays and had been due to resume in early January, but have now had their restart dates pushed back a week or two.

The Coronavirus is going to continue to cause issues for Disney for months, until things hopefully stabilise as more people become vaccinated.
