There are plenty of new original shows and films heading to Disney+ around the world in September 2023, including brand new episodes of the latest Star Wars series, “Ahsoka”, and much more.

Here’s a look at the new originals coming to Disney+ in September 2023:

Star Wars: Ahsoka

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

A new episode is going to be released on Disney+ every week throughout September on Tuesday (6 pm PT/9 pm ET) and Wednesday outside the Americas.


I Am Groot – Season 2

The troublemaking twig returns to mischief in the second season of “I Am Groot.” This time, Baby Groot finds himself exploring the universe and beyond aboard the Guardians’ spaceships, coming face-to-face—or nose-to-nose—with new and colorful creatures and environments. Vin Diesel is back as the voice of Groot in five all-new shorts.

“I Am Groot” arrives on Disney+ around the world on Wednesday 6th September 2023.


Lang Lang Plays Disney

In this exclusive one night only concert at Royal Albert Hall, “Lang Lang Plays Disney” is an unrivalled musical and visual treat that showcases unique arrangements of Disney’s most popular songs and gives insight into the life of world-renowned pianist Lang Lang. Through performance and documentary segments, the film opens an intimate window into his extraordinary musical journey as he speaks to his love for Disney dating back to his childhood in China. Joined by London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Lang Lang invites audiences to savor Disney classics such as “Let It Go”, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, “You’ll Be in My Heart” feat. English recording artist Alfie Boe, “When You Wish Upon a Star” feat. performer Gina Alice Redlinger and more.

This musical special arrives on Disney+ on Friday, 15th September 2023


Animals Up Close With Bertie Gregory

Bertie Gregory is back, and this time, the adventures are even more epic! Bertie takes us to the most spectacular corners of our planet — from Antarctica to Africa and South America to Asia – tracking down extraordinary animals to capture their daily lives like never before. Armed with drones, state-of-the-art cameras, and underwater tech, he and his team brave subzero seas, climb snow-capped mountains, and sleep suspended 120 feet in the air to reveal the challenges these animals endure, their fierce rivalries, and the threats they face on our changing planet. “Animals Up Close With Bertie Gregory” shows all the behind-the-scenes moments he and his team face while adapting to unpredictable wildlife in remote environments where filming rarely goes as planned. There is no script for this unique series, but through it all, Bertie brings the audience with him every step of the way.

This entire National Geographic series arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday 13th September 2023.


Disney’s Launchpad (Season 2)

Disney’s “LAUNCHPAD” is a collection of live-action shorts from a new generation of dynamic storytellers. Six filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds were selected and provided with the opportunity to share their perspectives and creative visions that will show audiences what it means to be seen.

Six new shorts arrive on Disney+ on Friday, 29th September 2023.


Marvel Studios’ Assembled: The Making of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Join visionary director James Gunn and superstars such as Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldaña as they recount how “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was conceived, shaped, and delivered to the world. And stand alongside the cast and crew in the emotional final moments of the shoot as they bid farewell to each other, and close this chapter in the saga of Peter Quill and his loveable band of misfit-warriors.

This episode of “Assembled” arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday, 13th September 2023


Marvel Studios’ Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

Through in-depth interviews with cast and crew, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, Assembled uncovers how Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion” was born. Witness what it took to conjure the world of the show, and spend time with Samuel L. Jackson as he dons the patch once again to engage in the most baffling battle of Nick Fury’s career.

And internationally, there are lots of other original shows and films heading to Disney+, which are going to be released on Hulu in the US.


The Kardashians – Season 4 – Premiere

The family you know and love is here with a brand new series, giving an all access pass into their lives. Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie bring the cameras back to give truth to their stories. From the intense pressures of running billion-dollar businesses to the hilarious joys of playtime and school drop-offs, this series brings viewers into the fold with a rivetingly honest story of love & life in the spotlight.

“The Kardashians” return on Thursday 28th September 2023.


The Other Black Girl

Nella, an editorial assistant, is tired of being the only Black girl at her company, so she’s excited when Hazel is hired. But as Hazel’s star begins to rise, Nella spirals and discovers something sinister is going on at the company.

This entire series arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday 13th September 2023.


No One Will Save You

“No One Will Save You” introduces Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever), a creative and talented young woman who’s been alienated from her community. Lonely but ever hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up—until she’s awakened one night by strange noises from decidedly unearthly intruders. What follows is an action-packed face-off between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings who threaten her future while forcing her to deal with her past.

This original film arrives on Friday, 22nd September 2023


Only Murders In The Building – Season 3

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders In the Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Irresistible (S1)

This is a romantic comedy, that tells the story of Adèle, who is the creator of a successful podcast. She has a mutual love for Arthur, a mathematician. But as soon as she is in his presence, she is prone to violent panic attacks.

This French Original arrives on Disney+ on Tuesday, 19th September 2023


Futurama – Season 11

After a brief 10-year hiatus, “Futurama” has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The 10 all-new episodes of season 11 have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

New episodes are being released every Monday.


Synduality Noir

The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this newly built dystopian city, in a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.

New episodes are being released on Mondays.


The Worst of Evil

Set in 1990s Seoul, The Worst of Evil follows police officer Park Jun-mo, who goes undercover to infiltrate a notorious crime organisation pushing a new drug in nightclubs. However, he discovers that his wife, Yoo Eui-jeong, has volunteered for the same undercover assignment, and shares history with the gang’s leader Jung Gi-cheol.

The first three episodes of this Korean drama arrives on Disney+ around the world on Wednesday, 27th September 2023


This Fool (Season 2)

“This Fool” is an irreverent, cinematic half-hour comedy set in working-class South Central Los Angeles. After Julio’s job and love life blew up at the end of last season, this season, new roommates Julio and Luis embark on finding new careers and romances with the help of Minister Payne, Chef Percy and other former Huggers.

The second season will arrive on Disney+ in some countries, including Canada and the UK, in September.
