Disney has released a trailer for the upcoming Disney+ Original, “Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó”, which has been shortlisted for an Oscar in the shorts category. The short has already won awards at many different festivals, including SXSW, AFI Fest and SIFF 2023.

The short tells the story of Nǎi Nai and Wài Pó, who are both grandmas, who together, they are a grandma super team that dances, stretches, and farts their sorrows away.

This new short is going to be part of the official relaunch of the beloved Walt Disney documentary short film series – “People & Places”, which ran from the early 1950s into the 1960s.

“Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó” will be released on Disney+ and Hulu in February 2024, just in time for the Oscar nominations to be revealed.
