Disney has announced a brand new Latin American original series called “A Magia de Aruna”, which is set in Rio de Janeiro where Mima lives, a teenager who tries to hide her strange power of hyperempathy in a world that is apart from magic that is experiencing a solar crisis. However, the challenge of an important competition will make her lose control of this mysterious power and when she walks away from her companions, Mima will reveal a spell performed 300 years ago, awakening three Guardian Witches.

The series stars Jamilly Mariano (Mima), Cleo (Cloe), Erika Januza (Latifa), with Gio Ewbank (Juno). Also starring in the series will be Suzana Pires, who will be playing the role of Bruma, a powerful and cold villain who is a CEO of a company that benefits from the twilight state of the city where they live by selling vitamin products to balance the climatic effects on people’s health.

The new series will debut on Disney+ in Latin America on November 29th 2023 and as with other international originals, its likely this series will also get a global release on Disney+, however, that hasn’t yet been confirmed.
